Beauty of The Earth Fun Fold Cards

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

I have some perfect autumn cards for you today. One I gave to my husband for our 37th anniversary, and the other I gave to my father for his 85th birthday. Lots of celebrating happening in our family this month!

I got the idea for the birthday card from Wendy Cranford after watching her video about how to make a Tapering Tri-fold Card (part 1; part 2). Because I wanted a birthday card, not a friendship card, I had to raid my stamp stash for birthday sentiments. There's a reason why we need all of these stamp sets! I chose "happy birthday" from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set and "time to CELEBRATE" from the Oval Occasions Stamp Set. You can see a video tutorial here on how to make the card.

This is a great card for setting on a table to show off the fun fold. I know my father will put this out on a shelf to look at often. I love being able to have a second sentiment hidden inside.

The anniversary card was CASED from the Annual Catalogue p. 10. I added a  wrap around sentiment to turn it into a fun fold. The sentiment is from the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set. I chose a different dsp pattern than the catalogue card, and went with a Misty Moonlight, Soft Suede, and Mossy Meadow colour scheme.  I couldn't resist adding two little birds on this card. I think they go with a "love" theme. Because I do love the Cinnamon Cider in the DSP used in the catalogue, my tutorial used that DSP with Cinnamon Cider and Mossy Meadow cardstock.

Inside the card I added a second sentiment from the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set., as well as the Happy Anniversary from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the cards from today. I'm currently posting Tuesdays and Saturdays on my blog, so I hope you'll stop by for more creative inspiration and shop at my online store. The currrent Host Code is UXPS3ABX for orders under $200.

Happy Crafting!
