Fun Fold Cards with Driving By and Catching Butterflies

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

Today I have two special cards to share with you using products from the January/February Sale-a-bration Brochure. If you love these products, you will want to place an order right away, as Monday February 28, 2022 is the last date they're available, and they are while supplies last. I have 2 grandchildren - a grandaughter who is turning 7in May, and a grandson who is turning 5 in March. For my grandaughter's card I chose the Catching Butterflies Stamp Set and the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP, both available during Sale-a-bration as a bonus with a $60 purchase. My grandson's card used the Hey, Sports Fan! DSP from the January to June Mini Catalogue, and the Driving By Stamp Set which is also available as a free item with a $60 purchase during Sale-a-bration. These cards were demonstrated during my Facebook LIVE video last Thursday, and measurements are included in the video. However, at the beginning of the video I made a mistake in my measurements, so let me correct it here. The card base for the Driving By card should be 5 1/2" by 8 1/4", not 8 1/2". Now, if you're interested in one card and not the other, the card for my grandaughter begins at 46:44 minutes into the video, so you can find it easily!

Aedan's Tower Card:

Thanks to Jan B for the tutorial on how to make a Tower Card. I adjusted to fit the Canadian envelope size.

I love that in addition to making a great display card, this design includes a spot to write on the back!

Alice's Pop Up Tent Card
Tips: When stamping on Vellum cardstock, you may need to dry the ink with a heat tool. I also show in the video how to use the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to add the sentiment! I also used the Layering Circles Dies to stamp my grandaughter - I mean, my little girl.
I couldn't resist adding a pop up butterfly inside. All of the die cut butterflies on this card are from the Brilliant Wings Dies. I highly recommend this die set with or without the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set, as I frequently find adding a butterfly to a card as an embellishement just steps up the card design!
I used the Stampin' Write markers for colouring inside the card as the butterflies were so detailed.

I have to say I think Grandma "hit it out of the park" with these cards! I hope you love them as I do, and run to my online store to order the supplies to make them. The host code SVNSB7A6 is open until February 28 for orders under $200.

As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll leave me a comment to say you were here.

Happy Crafting!
