Hello Craftin' Friends!
I've just loved playing with the Lazy Days Bundle over the past few weeks. It has so many pieces to use to create backyard scenes that I think I could play with it forever! You can see the video tutorial for this week's card on my YouTube Channel. I did experience some techical difficulties with a frozen camera, but was able to switch cameras so that I could complete the tutorial. Hope the technical problems don't interfere too much with your enjoyment of the video.
Inside the card I added a little image by stamping the plant basket, masking it, then stamping the plank image over top. I love the depth added by this technique. A flying bird and a second sentiment completed the card.I repeated the stamped image on the envelope as well. Measurements:Basic White Thick Card Base 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Basic White Cardstock 3 3/4" by 5" for card front, 4" by 5 1/4" for card insert, 1/2" strip for sentiment, plus scraps for stamping birds, birdhouse, and hanging basket
Pecan Pie Cardstock 2 1/2" square
Starry Sky Cardstock 4: by 5 1/4" for card front, 3 1/2" by 5 1/2' for die cutting veranda and cushion
Granny Apple Green Cardstock 1 1/4" by 2 1/4", plus 1/2" strip to go under sentiment strip
I also wanted to show how you could create simpler cards with this bundle. They still require the fancy tools, but are much quicker to make. For the first card I created a background by colouring my acrylic block with Balmy Blue and Smoky Slate Stampin' Write markers. After spritzing with water, I stamped the block on watercolour paper.
For the second card I used the Stylish Shapes Dies and the Layering Circcle Dies to add interest to my pieces from the Lazy Days Bundle. I hope these cards show you the versatility of the Lazy Days Bundle. You can purchase the supplies used to make these cards in my online store with the exception of the Layering Circles Dies in the final card. I discovered when posting that these dies are retired, much to my surprise! Please use Host Code SH3P2SRS for orders less than $200. For a complete list of products used to make these cards go to the My Projects tab on my website. As always, happy crafting my friends!
