November Christmas Cards Class

 Hi there, Craftin' Friends!

Today I'm sharing the three cards we made at my November Christmas Card classes. They each have a different style, as I wanted to create cards for the different types of folks who may be on your Christmas Card list. Of course, it's your job to figure out which card suits which recipient!

The Peace on Earth Card has a more elegant feel. Some retired products were used in the making of this card, but in the My Projects section on my website I suggest alternate products or ways of altering the card. You can also find a complete listing of all of the products used in making all three of these cards. 

Inside the card I used stamps from the Forever Forest Stamp Set and the Winter Owls Stamp Set. I think these two stamp sets work really well together.

The second card is for everyone who owns a truck, or who wishes they did! This double Z fold card was CASED from stampwithtami.com. I found it here on Pinterest. 

In the centre circle I added the little gifts from the Trucking Along Stamp Set. I wanted to leave a little extra room for writing, because there's not much space on the last circle. 

The final card features the bear from the Beary Cute Bundle and the Beary Christmas DSP. It reminds me of the old Coke commercial. Do you remember it? I also used the Merry & Bright Stamp Set for sentiments. 

This is a regular Z fold card. I just added a second sentiment inside.

Beautiful Cards Made Simple

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

I'm sitting in the sunshine in my office this morning enjoying a hot coffee while writing this. The view out my back window of snow dusted evergreens keeps distracting me from my work, but I'm definitely feeling festive!

Today's Christmas cards use my favourite stamp set from last year, which is in the Annual Catalogue this year. By combining it with the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, an online exclusive from this season, I was able to create these beautiful cards with very little effort. You find a link to all of the supplies used in today's cards under the My Projects tab on my web page. 

The Peace on Earth Card has a Lost Lagoon card base, and the trees are coloured using the Lost Lagoon Blends. Don't you love how our Stampin' Up! products co-ordinate! I stamped the sentiment and stars on a sentiment strip of Basic White Cardstock in Lost Lagoon Ink. 

Inside the card I stamped a second sentiment and more stars with the Lost Lagoon Ink.

Here's a little tip for using the 2" strip, left over when cutting the DSP for the card front. I glued it to my envelope flap and trimmed the envelope flap to match. There's still plenty of adhesive remaining to hold the card closed. You can see precisely how I did this in the video tutorial for today's cards. 

The Merry Christmas card has a Misty Moonlight card base. In the card shown, I used the Tailored Tags Dies to layer my sentiment, just trimming off one edge to align with the left side of my card front. The images are coloured with Misty Moonlight, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, and Petal Pink Stampin' Blends. 

Inside the card I stamped more trees in Memento Black Ink, and the sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink. 

I used the extra DSP to decorate the envelope flap for this card as well.
