Paper Pumpkin Party

Hey there, Stampin' Friends. I have been working with my February's Paper Pumpkin kit and I have to say they really hit it out of the park with the ideas this month. I just love the photo-realistic papers and can't stop thinking of ideas for creating with them.

My best ideas usually come from piggybacking on someone else's projects. Does that happen to you? That's why I loved group work when I was in school, even if I ended up doing more than my share of the work, because I knew I performed better when I had the ideas of other group members as a starting point.

So here's an example. At our Celebrate and Create event last Saturday, the team leader, Jamilla Ann Ivits from Jammin' Stampers, shared a Make 'n Take that used the acetate boxes in a way I hadn't seen before. Jamilla cut the acetate boxes in half, then created an insert using A Good Day 145873, Itty Bitty Greetings 146667, and Swirly Frames 146519 Stamp Sets to create an Easter Treat Box. Small foil covered eggs fit nicely in the box, but I ate mine!

That lead to my idea for incorporating the Grown with Kindness Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set to create my own project. I cut the box at 3 1/8", which is a little more than a half. I figure I can adjust the measurements and use the other half for a treat box. Waste not, want not!

My acetate box 144628 will hold 4 individually wrapped tea bags nicely. I stamped the teacup image using Memento Ink 132708 , then I used my Lemon Lime Twist 147145 , Fresh Fig 147144, and Basic Gray 149165 Ink Pads with a blender pen 102845 for colouring.

I used a printed image from Paper Pumpkin Grown in Kindness Kit to create the insert. For access to measurements and detailed instructions, I would love for you to join my Craftin' Granny's Stamping Friends Group linked to my Craftin' Granny's Facebook Page (Facebook link along side of blog page).

The photo below shows the full insert laid flat. In addition to the Fresh Fig Cardstock 144242, I added a piece of Basic Gray Cardstock 121044, but if you had some of the Gray Cardstock from the Paper Pumpkin Kit left, you could use that. I also used some of the Wood Textured Image I had left from another Paper Pumpkin Paper card to embellish my project. The Vellum is die cut using Layering Circles Dies 141705 from the center of a Paper Pumpkin Card. This didn't affect my ability to create the card as shown in the Paper Pumpkin Kit.

This last image shows the back of the project where I added a sentiment. I thought this sentiment would make the project a good one for a friend who's going through a rough time.

I want to invite you to join me for my Facebook Live, Thursday nights at 7pm. Tomorrow's video will include some more projects I've created using the February Paper Pumpkin Kit, plus some swaps I received at my Celebrate and Create meeting. Hope you can join me!

Finally,  I want to make sure you're aware of the very special Paper Pumpkin Birthday Promotion happening in March. As a celebration for Paper Pumpkin's 6th Birthday, those who subscribe to Paper Pumpkin before March 10th (or are already subscriber's) will be receiving 2 stamp sets in the March Kit. That's an extra stamp set FREE! The kits are $26.95 plus tax, come once a month, and include everything you need to make the projects enclosed. Projects are often, but not always, cards. Click here to subscribe.

Thanks for taking the time to read about my Tea Bag Holder Project. I would love it if you'd leave me a comment below, letting me know what you think.

Now, I think it's time for a cup of tea!
Have a great day!
