This morning I woke up earlier than usual. Don't you just love those times when you're up and the house is quiet! If you're a night owl, it might be late at night, but for me, it's first thing in the morning. So I got busy and cleaned the bathroom. Then I felt so virtuous I thought I deserved some crafting time!
I created a trio of quick and easy cards to share with you today. My brother-in-law's birthday is coming up soon so I got on a creative kick with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (144177) and the Happy Birthday Thinlets (143700). I found inspiration from Priscillastamps, but adapted my first card to make it a little simpler. Then I just kept trying variations on a theme.
The first card used Early Espresso and Sahara Sand Cardstock.
Inside I used the Amazing Life Stamp Set 148750 for the sentiment. This is perfect for my brother-in-law! This set comes as a bundle with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits, which I also used on all three of my cards today 150624. You can absolutely make the cards without the Framelits and just cut rectangles. The rectangles would just be without the stitched edge. However, you will need a Big Shot 143263, or other die cutting machine for the Happy Birthday Thinlets.
The second card is very simple, but used two types of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and some Tranquil Tide Cardstock and Ribbon.
The final card is the simplest yet, but I spruced it up with some gold heat embossing in the bottom right corner.
Hope you liked my masculine birthday cards today! I'd love for you to stop by my Craftin' Granny's Facebook Page and join me for my Facebook Live tonight at 7 pm to see some fancier cards created using the Lovely Lattice Stamp Set I featured in yesterday's blog post.
Have a Happy Thursday!
