Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin Alternate Cards

Hello Craftin' Friends!

This has been a productive morning. I got up extra early, had a lovely walk with my dog by the river (see photo), then came home to get busy on my "To Do" list. I decided to write my blog first, but got derailed by creating some additional cards! So here I am just before lunch, finally getting to work on the first item on my work list. Uh oh! But now I have more projects to share, so I guess it's all good.

This month's kit was beautiful, but a bit of a challenge in that we can't really have a party in person around here. I completely understand, because I know the kits are planned well in advance (started even more than a year ahead), and who would have predicted life as we know it! Nonetheless, I did limit my creations to projects using just 2 of the sentiments with the kit.

The first card to share with you is a fun fold card. I used one of the card bases from the add on, and scored the front of the card base vertically at 2 1/8".  The carousel die cut is adhered with dimensionals on the right side only.
Inside the card, I added some of the twine to the postcard piece, and hung lanterns along it. A firefly gives the finishing touch.

The card stands nicely, although I had a difficult time photographing it well.

The second project I made was a little gift bag. I used one of the postcard pieces inside, cut to just under 3 1/2" by 5". I put glue dots on the front of the panel and glued it inside one of the bags from the kit. To close the bag, I punched holes at the top and tied some twine in a bow.
The final project to share today is a card that I created using one of the bags and a card base from the add on to the kit. I also added some Calypso Coral cardstock. Finally, I made use of some leftover gems from a previous Paper Pumpkin Kit to add the final touch.

If you'd like to see even more Paper Pumpkin Alternates for this month's kit, please check out  my Facebook Live from Thursday evening. In this video I created three more cards and another gift bag idea.

The cards will be gender neutral, using Bumblebee, Mint Macaron, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, White and Gold colours.

Happy Crafting!
