Hello Craftin' Friends!
Valentine's Day is coming soon, and I'm determined this year not to be caught at the last minute unprepared. My husband and I don't go all out for the day, but I try to have a card for him and maybe a small gift. This year I'm thinking of buying a box of chocolates for both of us. Makes sure I get some treats too, LOL! I also try to give a little something to my children and grandchildren. So you can see I need to get started on creating.
The first card for today uses the Rococo Rose foil, the Meant To Be Stamp Set, the Stitched Be Mine Dies, and a Stitched Rectangle Die. Its a pretty, but simple card. For a tip on die cutting with foil, please check out my Facebook Live Tutorial. The stamping was done with Rococo Rose ink, and the rhinestones were coloured with the Rococo Rose Dark Stampin' Blend.
I love the scalloped edge created with a die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies, so I repeated it on the inside of the card.
The next card is a masculine Dutch Door Card using the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I love the neutral tones and all of the textures in the DSP. I used the Sahara Sand foil sheet for this card, and the Stitched Be Mine hearts again. The "For You" comes from the Well Said Stamp Set, and the rhinestones are the Holiday Rhinestones, p. 156 in the Annual Catalogue. To carry over the texture from the DSP, I put the Very Vanilla cardstock on the card front throughthe Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
I also added some images from the Snow Front Stamp Set (trees and deer) and the A Wish For Everything Stamp Set (inside sentiment). I thought the pair of deer was a nice touch for a Valentine Card, and my husband called them the "kissing deer"!
Inside the card, I stamped the sentiment first, in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then I stamped the large flower image over top in Petal Pink Ink.
