Saying Goodbye to the 2019-2021 In Colours

 Hello Friends!

As I'm writing this today, we are having typical March weather in Ontario. Yesterday I was out working in the garden. It was a beautifully sunny day. Today, it's mild and windy. On the weekend we're expecting winter temperatures to return. I don't mind the weather though, I've been busy in the craft room!

This week's cards highlight the five In Colours from 2019-2021: Terracotta Tile, Purple Posy, Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock, and Rococco Rose. All of the cards use the Queen Anne's Lace Stamp Set found in the Annual Catalogue. It's a great set with a variety of sentiments and images to do two step stamping of Queen Anne's Lace. Because this set doesn't have a lot of images, you may have overlooked it. I'm hoping my cards will have you taking a second look. 

On my Facebook Live video, I demonstrated the first two cards showing how to do the two step stamping and how to use a stencil with our blending brushes to create a super simple background.

The Rococco Rose card is a variation on a card created by Stampin' Up. I used a piece of Basic White cardstock 4" by 3 1/2" to stamp 2 of the floral images, then cut apart to make 4 - 1 by 3 1/2" strips. 

The Pretty Peacock Card used a die from the Stitched Rectangle dies, cut 3 times and stamped in a variety of ways with the floral stamp. The Pretty Peacock layer is 2 1/2" by 5", and embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder. 

The final card was CASED from Christine Blain, who did a beautiful card in Soft Seafoam. I used a combination of Purple Posy and Gorgeous Grape to create my card. I also used a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, the Oval Occasions Punch, and the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. The white flowers are heat embossed, and the ribbon is the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon from the Annual Catalogue.

If you love these colours, you won't want to wait to top up your stash, as these colours will not be around for long. The retiring colours will be here while supplies last, or up to May 3rd when  this year's catalogue retires. So make sure you have your cardstock, ink pads, and re-inkers, especially if you have the Paper Blooms or Oh So Ombre DSP from the Sale-a-bration Promotion, as both of these papers use colours that will be retiring.
