Hello again, friends.
This weeks cards are super fun and sweet. I love the versatility of the Turtle Friends Bundle, and since it's a punch set, the price point is a little lower than the die bundles. To show the versatility of this set, I created a card for a new baby, a friendship card, a belated birthday card, and a light at heart masculine birthday card. Hope you enjoy them!
The baby card looks deceptively simple on the outside, but I like the clean and simple look. The Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder on the Basic White cardstock (after stamping) added just enough texture to keep the card front from being boring.
Inside the card, I used the Bark Embossing Folder to add texture. The scalloped circles are from the Layering Circles Dies. I really love this card. Thank you to Michele Badot who inspired me with her example of this fun fold with the Froggy images inside.
For the second card I used the Monday Mojo Sketch #322 created by Julee Tilman (shared by Patty Bennett, I believe) as my inspiration. This very sweet friendship card has texture, dimension, and contrast. Lots to love about this design. Check out my Thursday video for measurements.

Now, we never want to be late with recognizing birthdays, but it happens, right? Well, this stamp set will help you out if that happens to you, and the sentiment even makes being late seem cute! I love pairing Soft Succulent with Pale Papaya, so I added some seashells from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set in Pale Papaya, along with a cardstock mat, to brighten up this card. The seaweed was stamped in Evening Evergreen, and is also from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set. These Stamp Sets really work well together, and I think I would pair them again. The sentiment is stamped on a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies.
My final card for today is an easel fold masculine birthday card. If you think your recipient couldn't handle too much cuteness, you could leave off the hearts on the front, but I thik the turtle with the bow tie and party hat is absolutely adorable! The bold stripe pattern from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper helps give the card a masculine feel. We love to display cards at my house, so an easel fold card is always a winner to make a good display!
My Turtle Friends cards are all in shades of green, but don't be limited by that. I've seen some adorable cards out there with turtles in many colours. I confess, I just like things to match, so once I started with green I had to keep going.
You can order the Turtle Friends Bundle and other supplies used to make these cards through my online store. If placing an order online this week that totals less than $200, please use Host Code 3EMUPHF9. If your order is greater than $200, don't use the Host Code as Stampin' Up will reward you with the chance to pick free product(s).
Thanks for taking the time to look at my cards. I hope you find some creative inspiration.
Happy Crafting!
