Expressions in Color Paper Pumpkin Alternate Cards

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

I've got 8 alternate cards to share with you today using this month's Paper Pumpkin Kit. I really loved the alchol ink look featured in this kit. Four of the cards I'm showing today were shown on my Facebook Live video which you can see here.

I created four cards in the pink/purple colours.

For the first card, I coloured the back of the vellum die cut with Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends. The In Color 2021-2023 Stampin' Blend markers are back in stock and really add versatility to your stamping projects.

The second card has a lot of layering, some texture, and a sweet detail with the dragonfly punched out of a part of a card base from the kit. The Fresh Freesia layer is also a part of a card base, but I added the Basic White and Polished Pink cardstock. The sentiment for this card was from the Many Messages Bundle. I have heat embossed these with white on black cardstock in advance, so it's easy to pull out a quick sentiment for a card.

The third card shows off the beautiful Ephemera Pack that co-ordinates with the Expressions in Ink Suite. Unfortunately this item is currently unorderable, but it should be back in stock around July 12th. To creat the sentiment for this card, I used the back of one of the die cuts from the kit. I stamped the blotchy stamp in Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia, stamped off to lighten the colour, over the die cut. Then I stamped the Many in Polished Pink, and the THANKS in Fresh Freesia. I finished up by adding some sponging with Fresh Freesia around the border. The vellum on this card is our plain Vellum Cardstock, and the ribbon is the Open Weave Ribbon, available in all of our In Colors for 2021-2023.

The final card in this colour palette was a favourite when I did my Facebook LIVE. You can get measurements there. The popped up pieces are cut from a card base and matted on Basic Black cardstock. If you're a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, I recommend keeping some Basic Black and Basic White Cardstock on hand to add to your kit supplies. The black twine was left over from a previous Paper Pumpkin Kit.

I also made four cards in the Bumblebee/Evening Evergreen colours.

For the first card, I embossed the edge of the card with the leaves from the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder Pack. I added a little strip of Pansy Petals DSP in Bumblebee, and some Evening Evergreen cardstock for accents, then finished the card off by creating my own embellishment. I coloured some of the sequins with my Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blend, then adhered a pearl on top to make what looks like a tiny flower.
The second card was made using the card base and co-ordinating panel. Again, I used embellishments from the Ephemera Pack to give this card some shine.
For the You are amazing card I cut an Evening Evergreen card base in the standard size to make a 4 1/4?by 5 1/2" card. Then I cut one of the card bases from the kit in half, and trimmed 1/4" off the bottom ending with a 3 1/2" by 4 3/4" panel. I cut one of the leaf patterned vellum pieces to match and adhered them together with glue dots. This entire panel was popped up on the card front with dimensionals. On top of the panel I added one of the leaves die cuts in green and a hexagonal sentiment die cut from the kit. I finished off by adding two butterfly die cuts from the Brilliant Wings dies.

To make the flower on the final card today, I stamped the little flower image on the vellum scraps from the vellum sentiment pieces. I coloured the center with my Daffodil Delight Dark Stampin' Blend. The Evening Evergreen layer is the second half of the card base used above, also with 1/4"  cut from the bottom. I added an embossed strip of Bumblebee cardstock 5/8" by 4" with a strip of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon on top. The vellum thanks was added with glue dots behind the white part of the vellum die cut. Some sequins finished off the card.
I hope you enjoyed my Paper Pumpkin Alternates as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Subscribe here before July 10th to receive next month's kit, The Great Adventure. It promises to be a lot of fun! See a little hint about the kit below. Although the contents of the kit are always a surprise, I do know that the kit will contain supplies to make 12 cards, 4 1/4" by 5 1/2". Looks fun doesn't it!
I would love to invite you to join me for a free Facebook Live Class next Thursday July 8th at 6:30 pm on my Craftin' Granny's Facebook Page. To participate in the class you will need six sheets of 6 by 6" DSP, 7 sheets of co-ordinating cardstock, Basic White or Very Vanilla cardstock to add sentiments, and assorted embellishments of your choice. Additional die cuts or a punch are optional.

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Crafting!
