Pick Six Wonder Cards with Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper

 Hello Craftin' Friends.

Today I want to share some cards with you that are perfect for using up that stash of Designer Series Paper that's in your craft room. I know you want to use it up so that you won't feel guilty buying more, and since Stampin' Up! has a DSP sale on now until August 2nd, you really need to make these cards!

The Pick Six Wonder cards were shown to me by Shannon West, Donna Jean Griffith and Natalie Wallick White. You will need 6 sheets of DSP 6 " by 6", 14 sheets of co-ordinating cardstock for the card bases, and additional cardstock for sentiments, matting, etc. You may also like to use dies and/or punches, and assorted embellishments, but these are optional. The cards are super fun and easy to make, and you can use the paper crafting supplies you have on hand.

There are two links for the video tutorial on these cards as I had trouble with "freezing" during the Facebook Live recording, so be sure to check them both out! Link 1 Link 2 You can find a copy of the cutting guide and written instructions in my Craftin' Granny's Stamping Friends Facebook Group. This class made 14 cards using the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper. After cutting all of the DSP you have the pieces to make 4 designs, plus a bonus card.

Here are the cards for design #1. For these cards I also used the Double Oval Punch and the Medium Daisy Punch. The flower centers were done with a standard hole punch.

The cards in design #2 can be arranged in either landscape or portrait direction. The directionality of my DSP determined the direction for me.For these cards I also used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and some co-ordinating ribbon.
The design #3 cards used no punches as I wanted to show how you can simply cut a piece of cardstock to make a sentiment. Rectangles, squares, or paper strips make easy sentiments, and can even be matted with a contrasting colour if you wish to make them "pop".
For design #4 I did flash back to my elementary teaching days, as the hearts are cut out by hand.
The remaining bits of DSP were used to create a bonus card, and I love it! Who would have thought you could make such a cute card with a few scraps of DSP?
I hope you'll try to Pick Six Wonder, and when you need to replenish your supply of DSP, I hope you'll visit my online store. For orders less than $200 placed before July 29th, please use Host Code 7J6Q7BWP. If you'd like to share your cards in my Craftin' Granny's Stamping Friends Facebook Group, we'd love to see them!

Thanks for stopping by to visit today.
Happy Crafting!
