Garden Birdhouses Cards

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

Today I'm sharing some beautiful cards made with the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set. I love this stamp set because the images are wonderful and the sentiments are varied. In my humble opinion, that makes any stamp set a winner, because it automatically increases it's versatility!

The first card I'm sharing uses a technique that I always admire in a card. I've used our blending brushes (a sponge would work too) to create a background for the card. You can see the details on my Facebook Live video, but I'll give the basic instructions here. You die cut a shape, then blend ink through the cut out to create your background. I just love the effect you get when you stamp your image/sentiment over this type of background. Don't you agree?

This stamp set also lends itself to creating a little focal image inside the card as well.

The second card I'm showing you uses the technique of stamping over two layered pieces of paper at once. Sometimes people do this with three layers, but I've chosen to use two, so I'll call it Double Time Stamping. Adding some colour to the top layer gives it some extra visual punch.

Inside this card I let the die cut insert add the fun with a simple sentiment.

The next two cards use some of the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper. We have so many designer series papers that would pair well with this stamp set, but I wanted to show you that you don't have to use this paper for Christmas. First I have a little "hello" card which I'm sure anyone would love to receive.

Inside the card I just had to add another little birdhouse. They're so cute and are very easy to colour!

Then I created a sweet birthday card with scallops on the DSP and on the Very Vanilla Lace Trim.

Inside this card I stamped and coloured some flowers to add visual interest.

I hope you love the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set as much as I do! If you place an order in my online store before September 9th, I will send you a pdf with all of the measurements and instructions to create these cards.

Thanks for your interest in my cards today. I'd love it if you let me know what you think about them by leaving a comment below.

Happy Crafting!
