Hello Craftin' Friends
My apologies for the delay in posting this. I forgot to add the video link, then ran into the Facebook outage so I could not complete the post.
I have some super fun Autumn themed cards using the stamp set and some materials from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit. Since I wanted to use the kit to make the treat packages and wagon, I chose to emphasize using the stamp set with additional materials. I demonstrated how to make these projects on a Facebook LIVE video which you can see here.
For the first card I used the paper around the die cuts that is usually thrown away! I love the simplicity of this card design. The colours are Soft Succulent, Bumblebee, Basic Black and Basic White.
Inside the card I added a border of leaves stamped in the same colour as on the card front.
The second card was CASED from Karen Prosser, who shared a similar alternate with Demonstrators in the Paper Pumpkin Demonstrator Connection. Thanks, Karen! I loved her colour choice, and the addition of gold foil and linen thread.
Inside the card I added a few leaves using a Post it note mask to make them look like they are overlapping.
My third card is in more traditional colours. I used Gray Granite, Calypso Coral, Bumblebee, Cherry Cobbler, and Memento black ink.
Inside this card I used the background stamp with multiple stampings to create the ground, then added a Calypso Coral leaf on top.
The inspiration for my final card came from art lessons as an elementary school teacher. Perhaps you'll remember doing fall leaves art work with tissue paper leaves overlapping applied with white school glue watered down. Well, I chose to use the outline from the leaf die cuts again along with my blending brush to add layers of colour. On this card I used Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler and Bumblebee. I love how the black and white details really pop on of this card.
Inside the card I repeated the sponging with a single leaf.
I hope you like these cards as much as I do! If you're inspired, I hope you'll leave me a comment to let me know.
Paper Pumpkin is a wonderful way for new crafters to build up a supply of stamps and ink, as each month's kit comes with a stamp set and ink spot (small stamp pad). It's also perfect for experienced crafters who just want some easy crafting, or an inexpensive collection of co-ordinating materials to springboard your creativity. If you've never tried Paper Pumpkin, or would like to try it again, you can subscribe to receive a monthly kit full of all you need for some paper crafting fun here. You can complete the kit as designed by following the written instructions, or you can watch for my Facebook LIVE with alternate cards. Each month I design several alternate projects to demonstrate the versatility of the kits.
