More Angels of Peace Cards

This week I couldn't resist going back to the Angels of Peace Stamp Set. In fact, at my most recent crop, it seemed to be the set that everyone wanted to borrow. This set will retire soon, so if you have had your eye on it, you'll want to grab it before it's gone! For my sentiments this week I used the For Unto Us Stamp Set, which partners really well with the angel images. For more details on the cards, please check out my video tutorial.
The first card I created was a center step card. The little angel looks so sweet with the colours from the Whimsy and Wonder DSP.
Inside the card I decorated with more DSP strips and another silver heat embossed sentiment.
I tried something new with the larger angel. I mixed some re-inker wy Shimmery Crystal Effects to colour her dress. This was a bit of an experiment. I think that next time I would add more Crystal Effects to make it a little more thick and shimmery, but I am happy with the card overall.
This card was created using a card sketch from Denise Cox at Birdsnest Designs - Creative Challenge #6. I changed a few elements to work with my angel image but this helps you to see how you can use a sketch as a springboard for creativity when you are designing.
Thanks for visiting today. I really hope you will take the time to subscribe to receive future posts by email.
Happy Crafting!
