Boughs and Blossoms Cards

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

Today I'm sharing cards using the Boughs and Blossoms Bundle from Stampin' Up!® These are great projects for the casual crafter as you don't need a Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine to make them. I did use three punches on one card and two on the other, but you could get away with fewer by making some adjustments to the cards. The first card was demonstrated on my Facebook LIVE video. 

To make this card using only the punch from the Boughs and Blossoms Bundle, you could just change the other shapes to rectangles. The Postage Stamp Punch which I used for stamping above is approximately 1 3/8" by 2", so you could just cut rectangles that size if you don't have the punch. The Lovely Labels Punch which I used for the sentiment could be omitted and you could just use a 1/2" strip for the sentiment and a 3/4" strip to mat it. 

Measurements:

• Basic White Thick Cardstock 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• Basic White Cardstock 4" by 5 1/4" for card insert, cardstock to punch 6 postage stamps; 1/2" strip for sentiment
• Fresh Freesia DSP from the Heart & Home Pack 4" by 5 1/4"
• Basic Black Cardstock 3/4" strip for matting sentiment
• 3 Classic Matte Dots in Black

For the second card, I used a post it note mask of the flower (times 2) to cover the flowers while I stamped the leaves. This allows you to see the flowers in front and the leaves behind. It's a wonderful technique and super easy to do. To do this, you stamp the flower on your post it note, then cut it out carefully. Then stamp your flower on the cardstock, or in the case of this card, on the dsp. Cover the flower with the mask, then stamp the leaves over top. It looks as thought the leaves are behind the flower! As with the card above, you could just stamp the sentiment on paper strips without the punched end if you don't have the Lovely Label Punch, but it does give a nice finish, doesn't it.

• Basic White Thick Cardstock 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• Poppy Parade Cardstock 4" by 5 1/4"
• Basic Black Cardstock 3 7/8" by 5 1/8"; 3/4" strips for matting sentiment
• Heart & Home Wood Texture DSP 3 3/4" by 5"
• Basic White Cardstock 4" by 5 1/4" for card insert; 1/2" strips for sentiment
• 3 Basic rhinestones, one of each size
