Hey there, Craftin' Friends!
Today's post is all about Paper Pumpkin Kits. Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription kit from Stampin' Up! which is the perfect opportunity for new card makers to begin to gather a collection of stamps and ink at a minimal cost. Each month's kit includes an exclusive stamp set and an ink spot in one of our fabulous Stampin' Up! colours. March's Kit included materials to make 9 cards that were beautiful as designed, but of course, I have to play around and create my own projects. You can see the video tutorial for these cards here, or join my Paper Pumpkin For The Fun Of It Facebook Group to pick up the free written tutorials.
Thanks Rachel Tessman for the idea of using the back of the card as the card front. I added some birds from the Let's Set Sail! Stamp Set to this card. The window was die cut using a stitched rectangle die and then I embossed the frame using the Basket Weave Embossing Folder.
The second card uses the center panel from one of the card bases, the back of a die cut piece, and some embellishments from the kit.Inside the card and on the envelope I stamped the leaves image from the kit in Evening Evergreen ink.The third card was really simple, but shows how the pieces in the kit co-ordinate so well. Even the envelopes co-ordinate!My final alternate card used the bonus stamp from this month's kit.I added some additional stamping inside the card.Hope you liked this month's cards. Next month's Paper Pumpkin Kit will focus on Change as a theme. The subscription deadline is April 10th. The May Kit will feature Stampin' Up! new In Colors and is available from April 11th to May 10th. If you live in Canada you can subscribe to Paper Pumpkin here for $32.50 plus tax. Don't miss out on these amazing kits. You'll love your monthly surprise box!
