Hello Craftin' Friends!
I really loved creating cards this week with the Peace To You Stamp Set. The images in this set are bold, and require very little to make a beautiful card. I added some gorgeous dsp from the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper pack. I also used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the images, but you could totally stamp the images on rectangles cut from Basic White cardstock without the dies if you don't have a die cutting machine. You can see a video tutorial for the first card on my Craftin' Granny's Facebook Page.
I love the sentiments that go with this set!
Measurements for Cards 1 &2:- Evening Evergreen Card Base 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Soft Succulent Cardstock Layer 4" by 5 1/4"
- DSP 3 7/8" by 5 1/8"
- Second Soft Succulent Layer 2 7/8" by 4 1/4"
- Second Evening Evergreen Layer 2 3/4" by 4 1/8"
- Stitched Rectangle Layer 2 5/8" by 4"
- Sentiment Rectangle was a Stitched Rectangle measuring 7/8" by 2 7/8" (I cut this in half using one of the larger rectangle dies, and used half for card 1 and half for card 2.)
- Ribbon 4" for wrapping and 12" for bow
- 3 Soft Succulent Festive Pearls
- Basic White Cardstock 4" by 5 1/4" for card insert
The second card is identical, except I used Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon instead of the Evening Evergreen. Which do you prefer?
For the third card, I used the church image and the back side of the same sheet of Designer Series Paper. This card is so simple to make, but I think it's just stunning!Inside this card I used the Peace to you at Christmas sentiment.Measurements for Card 3:
- Soft Succulent Card Base 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- DSP 4" by 5 1/4"
- Stitched Rectangle Layer 2 5/8" by 4"
- Gold Shimmer Ribbon 4" for wrapping plus 6" for tying
- 3 gold Festive Pearls
- Basic White cardstock 4" by 5 1/4"
The final card is also very simple and easy. On this card, I did use a retired Chevron Weave Evening Evergreen Ribbon. If you don't have that, you could easily substitute the Open Weave Ribbon, or just add a 3/8" strip of cardstock. The cardstock would be lovely embossed if you have access to an embossing folder and a Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine. I often use this strategy if I don't have a co-ordinating ribbon for a project! I love the look of the 3 festive pearls across the ribbon/cardstock.Measurements for Card 4:
- Evening Evergreen Card Base 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Soft Succulent Layer 4" by 5 1/4"
- DSP Layer 3 7/8" by 5 1/8"
- Stitched Rectangle Layer 2 5/8" by 4"
- Ribbon or Cardstock for across Stitched Rectangle
- 3 Soft Succulent Festive Pearls
