Scary Cute Cards for Halloween

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

Today I have some delightfully Scary Cute cards to share with you. These Halloween Cards are sure to put your family and friends in the mood for some Trick or Treating. Two of the cards used the same sketch, but varied techniques. The first card was created with a simple Smoky Slate background behind the Aspen Tree Die. I added some grass and tombstones to add interest to the background from the Horizon Dies (retired) in Basic Black and a moon in Pumpkin Pie cardstock (cut with a Layering Circle die). For this card, I cut the cardstock for the Aspen Dies 1/8" smaller than the Smoky Slate background. A cute little fussy cut trick or treater finished off the front of the card.

Inside the card I added the Love at First Bite sentiment, which is one of the sentiments that drew me to this stamp set.

The second card is a variation on the first, with an inked background created using Crushed Curry for the moon, Smoky Slate for the nighttime sky, and Evening Evergreen for the ground. On this card I just used several cuts of the tombstone die (probably meant to be buildings or houses, but why not tombstones!). I switched up my fussy cut trick or treater on the front.

Inside this card I used the "Say boo and scary on" sentiment with a second trick or treater and of course, some spooky bats. You can see the video tutorial for this card here.

The remaining two cards I designed for my class on October 29th at the Brantford Public Library. The class is free, and begins at 2pm. I love teaching classes at the library because I often get brand new stampers. This is a drop in class, but limited to 20 participants. I hope you can join me! Isn't this card cute! Stampin' Up! fans may recall the tree from the Beautiful Trees Dies (retired).
Inside we'll be adding the "haunted house", another wonderful element from the Scary Cute Bundle.
My final card today is a simple side step card. I love the way the Celebrate Everything DSP worked with this design.
When you open the card, there's a little spot to sign the card, as well as the sweet little fella with his lantern.
I had so much fun creating these cards. If you're a card maker, I hope you feel inspired. If card making is new to you, I hope you're tempted to give it a try. The Scary Cute Bundle is available for purchase in my online store. Please use Host Code 7MKTEZPP on orders less than $200. All supplies for the cards  are listed on my Stampin' Up! website under the My Projects tab. Please note that retired products are no longer available for purchase.

Thanks for visiting today. I would love it if you left me a note to let me know which card is your favourite!

Happy Crafting!
