Heron Habitat Reverse Easel Card

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

I'm so excited to share these Heron Habitat cards with you today. I really wish I had started working with this bundle sooner. Unfortunately the Heron Dies have sold out, but the Heron Habitat Stamp Set is still available ($30 Canadian) at the time of writing this. I have come to love this product. I'm using it with the By The Bay Specialty DSP which is on sale for $16.50 Canadian while supplies last. Thank you to Paula Barin for the idea of the Reverse Easel Card. She created this type of card using the Adorable Owls Stamp Set, and I've piggy backed on her idea.

The first card I created in this style used Night of Navy and Sahara Sand as the colour scheme. It had good contrast, but I found it a little drab.

So I decided to try a different pattern of the DSP. This paper had Pool Party and Soft Seafoam as a colour scheme. I like the airier colours, but decided to try adding more layers to incorporate more Pool Party, and to dry emboss the Soft Seafoam cardstock.
My final card, which I created for my Facebook Live video, is found below. I really liked the way it turned out. For this card I did not use the heron dies, just the Scalloped Contours Dies.

See my web page for a complete list of products used.
