Sunshine and Smiles Paper Pumpkin Alternate Cards #2, 3 & 4

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

As you can see, time got away from me again. Things are progressing in preparation for our move. We got our painting finished and have begun the packing process. We signed with a realtor, had photos taken of the house, and have a plan to head to Sudbury to look at houses this coming week. As a result of that trip, there won't be a Facebook LIVE video this Wednesday April 5th. But today, I have some super cute cards to show you!

This cute card uses the back part of a Mango Melody card base. The sun was stamped and fussy cut. I used Mango Melody cardstock with Basic Black mats as well as the Stylish Shapes circle die to cut the card front and the Layering Circles dies for the scalloped circle. A little tip, to get my pieces to all line up correctly. I cut a piece of copy paper to 4" by 5 1/4" (the same size as my black cardstock). Then I used temporary adhesive to attach my checked paper (from the kit) and the Mango cardstock across the middle (my addition) leaving 1/16" borders as you see on the black. After running this through the die machine with the stitched circle, I could peel if off of the copy paper and glue it onto the black cardstock.

Inside the card I stamped the little flowers and coloured with Stampin' Blends. I used the Pool Party light marker to create "ground". See the free video tutorial here.
The next card used the remaining part of the Mango checked card base. I thought the froggy's piggy backing (or leap frogging!) made a sweet and silly image, so I stamped, coloured, and die cut the three frogs and adhered them on top of one another. The flowers were also stamped and die cut using the Add On die pack. Again, I stamped and fussy cut the sun. See the free video tutorial here.
The card frame was cut leaving about a 5/16" edge that could be folded and adhered onto a Basic White Thick card base. If you cut carefully, you would have a strip of checked paper left over to cover up your folded edge. If not, you will want to cover it up with some paper from the Rain or Shine Specialty DSP that co-ordinates with the February Paper Pumpkin Kit.
I added a full white card base, because I wanted to have a place to put a note, but of course, it needed decorating too, so I added some die cuts from the Paper Pumpkin Kit.
My final card is a shaker card. To make this card, I added window sheet, foam adhesive strips, some Balmy Blue and Basic White cardstock, and some sequins (retired). I also used the Old Olive Stampin' Blend again for my froggy. I liked him best coloured with just Old Olive light.
The window sheet went on the inside of the card front and on the front of the gray die cut layer to make a "sandwich". See the free video tutorial here.
I added a little spot on the back for a message and decorated it with a little frog as well. The white cardstock was die cut with a Deckled Rectangle die.
I absolutely loved this Paper Pumpkin Kit. If you'd like to give Paper Pumpkin Kits a try, you can subscribe to receive your monthly kit here. Or you may wish to go online and purchase a Prepaid Code for 3, 6, or 12 months, as the price is going up in May. Please use Host Code G9FEKAWX for orders less than $200.

As always,

Happy Crafting!
