Cheerful Daisies Stamped DSP for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

Today in the craft room I was making a card to share with my Granny's Craftin' Cannucks Team. I challenged everyone to stamp their own Designer Series Paper and then make a card with it. As I was working, I decided to make a Thank You card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights Gallery. I hope you'll love the card and decide to vote for me to be in the Blog Hop at the end of the month!

As I was making the card, I had a little problem getting my DSP cut to the right size, so I had some extra boxes. There's a saying amongst stampers that there are no mistakes, only creative opportunities. So I took my cut pieces and added a couple to the inside of the card and one on the envelope.
I had trouble getting a photo without shadow today in the craft room. My apologies for that, but what do you think of the idea of adding boxes inside the card and on the envelope? I have to admit that I love the look.

The gallery is available to see on this page. Please hop over and like my card!

Fresh As A Daisy Card #6

 Hello Craftin' Friends.

I'm late again getting last week's FB LIVE card posted. We had a quick trip south to attend an internment for a friend of mine, which meant I was away from the computer for a couple days. It was a beautiful day in a peaceful location, and a touching service for a tremendously sweet lady.

The card this week was a more involved card, so the accompanying video is longer. Furthermore, I had technical difficulties again and the video is in two segments. Hopefully that won't put you off from watching to see this super fun card. FB LIVE Part 1 FB LIVE Part 2

When the card is closed, it looks like pretty much any card, although I thought I was pretty clever overlapping the lower right flower and the sentiment label to keep the card closed!

When you lift the upper triangle, you see another flower below, which is only attached on the left side of a gate fold card below.
The two sides open to reveal a sentiment and more decorations. This card will stand up and the "wings" of the gate fold will tilt back. The upper triangle covers the sentiment if you were displaying this card on a shelf.
Materials to make this card are available in my online store. You can find a complete listing of the supplies needed to make this card (excluding acryllic blocks, adhesives, and a Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine) on my web page under the My Projects tab. Please use Host Code WBHK46GP for orders less than $200.

Join me tomorrow, Tuesday July 11, 2023 on Craftin' Granny's Facebook Page at 7:30pm. for a new video tutorial of a Lazy Days card.

Fresh As A Daisy Cards 3 & 4

 Hello Friends!

This post is quite brief as we are really in moving mode at my house. Our move date is less than a week away, and the excitment and pressure are building. I hope that you'll continue to follow me when I get settled in Sudbury Ontario. As promised, here are the next two cards featuring the Fresh As A Daisy DSP. The first card is beautifully fresh in cool colours with Basic White, Boho Blue, and Pebbled Path. I trimmed the largest die cut for this card, and had some fun with the Deckled Rectangles Dies. You can find the video tutorial @kellypulham8925. A complete list of supplies used in this card can be found here.

The second card I created using the DSP to create a floating background. It took some time to line up the paper strips, but I love the effect. The new Wild Wheat colour has been a surprise for me. I find myself using it often. Click the link above for the video tutorial.
Why not join me Tuesday June 27th at 7:30pm for another card using the Fresh As A Daisy DSP on my Facebook Page. All supplies used to make these cards are available in my online store. Please use Host Code JPYJ7G2W for orders less than $200.

Quick and Easy Cards Using Fresh As A Daisy DSP

 Hello Craftin' Friends!

Do you ever need a quick card? The Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper has a page of ready to cut images and patterns to help with just this occassion. I've created two cards for today using the floral images to create quick and easy cards. You could go with the sentiments I've chosen or mix them up. Either way these cards are bound to look fancier than they are. Please not that I trimmed the piece of DSP to 3 1/2" by 4 7/8" to make this card work. The white layer was 3 1/2" by 5". The card base is Early Espresso.

Although I embossed the white layer, you could absolutely leave it plain (as I did in the tutorial), since not much of it shows. A little simple stamping inside the card dresses it up beautifully.
For the second card I used Moody Mauve Cardstock for my card base, mat, and sentiment strip. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. To make this card, I trimmed the floral image to a 3 7/8" square. The green patterned paper was cut in half horizonally and adhered above and below the matted image.
Inside the card I stamped some Bubble Bath flowers and used my Crushed Curry Stampin' Write marker to add the centers, using colours taken from the card front.
Quick, easy, and beautiful! I just love the simplicity of these cards. Although I used all the fancy tools (heat tool and embossing powder, die cutting and embossing machine) these cards were really quite quick to make. See a video tutorial here.

Materials to make these cards can be purchased in my online store. Click here to see a complete list of products used for today's cards.

I hope you'll tune in to my Facebook Page next Tuesday at 7:30pm to see me make a card with a floating element and another quick and easy card.
