I had such fun working on the cards for November's Card Class this past Sunday. This class features the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper and colours. Although Coastal Cabana, Real Red, and Whisper White might not be traditional Christmas colours, they are lovely and bright, which gives the cards immediate appeal. I don't know if there's a connection between my wintry cards and the arrival of snow in Southern Ontario, but we're getting much more snow as I write this than is usual for this time of year!
Thank you to Annette Ball at Stampin with the Bees for the idea of a snowman spinner card! I really love how the little guy turned out. I paired the Snowman Season Bundle with the Let It Snow DSP to create this bright and fun card with a twist!
The second card for this class was CASEd from the northshorestamper.blogspot.com. I loved the use of the Snowman Season Stamps combined with the stitched squares. Since I don't have the newest embossing folder, I used the Cable Knit Embossing Folder and I think it turned out super cute.
The third card for this class features the Playful Penguins Stamp Set. Don't you think those little guys are adorable! My family used to love seeing the penguins at the Aquarium in Boston MA on our frequent visits there. This card was CASEd from stampitupwithjaime.com. I added some snowflakes in Sparkle Glimmer Paper from the Seasonal Layers Thinlets Dies and some red rhinestones. A little Snowfall Accents Puff Paint on the pom pom of his hat completed the festive look!
The final card for this class uses the Still Scenes Dies to create a snow globe with sparkly polar bears. I added a few metallic sequins in white and clear along with my Snowflake sequins to fill the snow globe. This card did use the retired Softly Falling Embossing Folder, which unfortunately has just recently sold out on the Clearance Rack. I also added a sentiment from the Greatest Part of Christmas (Host) Stamp Set.
This Christmas Card Class will be held November 24th at Friendship House in Brantford, ON. The class is $15 or free with a $45 purchase. You may purchase the class as a kit if you are unable to attend, but please be aware that I can not stamp images for you, so you would need to have access to the Stamp Sets needed to complete the kit. If you wish to have a kit shipped, there would be an additional shipping charge.
Hope you enjoyed seeing these festive, wintry cards. With the exception of the retired embossing folder, supplies to make the cards can be ordered by clicking the Shop Now link above.
As always, happy stamping!
