Online Extravaganza and OnStage Swap Cards

Hello there Stampin' Friends!

It's almost 9:30 pm on Tuesday night as I write this. I've spent the day I had planned to spend preparing for Saturday's Craft Show at the hospital with my mother. She's really not very well, and with her Alzheimer's, it is difficult for hospital staff to get her to eat or take her medications. But how blessed I am to have a small business that allows me the flexibility to be there. I may be there tomorrow, stamping away in her hospital room, but I can be there!

I'm so excited to share some Stampin' Up! News with you today. Stampin' Up! is having an Online Extravaganza with some paper crafting essentials on sale. Card stock and ink pads in the 10 Regal colours (Shaded Spruce, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Garden Green, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Rich Razzleberry), and the 10 Neutral Colours (Merry Merlot, Gray Granite, Mossy Meadow, Smoky Slate, Early Espresso, Night of Navy, Basic Gray, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, and Crumb Cake) are on sale. Also the In Colours (Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel, Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, and Seaside Spray) are on sale. You can get Purple Posy card stock, but not an ink pad, as they have been discontinued. This includes the 12 by 12 inch cardstock, for those of you who are scrapbookers! To order online, please  use host code VY4HQAS7 if under $200. Please note the dates - November 20 - 22nd only!

Saturday was an amazing OnStage Event. What is OnStage? It's a Convention for Stampin' Up Demonstrators. We get together, swap cards, see stamping demonstrations (and do some stamping, of course), learn about the wonderful new products to be released soon, and generally have a blast! One of the highlights on Saturday was receiving the new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Brochures. These will be live for customers to order beginning January 3rd, 2020.

Don't you just love those poppies? I was a little surprised to see poppies in this catalogue, rather than the fall catalogue, but did you know Anzac Day celebrating veterans is in April in Australia? Regardless, I anticipate the poppies being as popular as the Floral Essence Bundle. I was fortunate enough to receive the Painted Poppies Stamp Set at OnStage, and can't wait to get the rest of the bundle!

Here's a sneak peak at the Sale-A-Bration Brochure Cover. I'm dreaming about the little flower punch shown in the bottom right of the brochure! You'll be hearing more about Sale-A-Bration from me in the future.

Now for my card swap! I absolutely love the Garden Shed Stamp Set, half for the beautiful images, and half for the fantastic sentiments. So I chose to combine it with the Garden Lane DSP to create a super easy fun fold card. For my swaps, I left out the watercolour wash, just to make it faster to mass produce, but I think they were still very beautiful cards. I used a Garden Green card base, 4 1/4" by 8 1/4", scored at 5 1/2". Then I used a Soft Seafoam mat under the DSP, under my focal stamped image, and for the inside of the card. This colour worked well because it was so light I could stamp the inside right on it. The front panel only goes half way across the card, but the centre image covers the sentiment inside. The Garden Green mat for the centre image was 2 3/4" square. I used my Crumb Cake light Stampin' Blend to colour the ground, Soft Seafoam light to colour the leaves, and So Saffron to colour the flowers on the left, and So Saffron dark to colour the centre of the flowers on the right.

For the inside of my card, I used the Stamparatus so that I could position the sentiment and the plant pots exactly where I wanted them, and stamp them both at the same time.

Hope you liked my swap. Stay tuned to see some of the cards I received as swaps from the other demonstrators. And if you'd like to place an order during the Online Extravaganza, please click the Shop Now link to go to my online store.

I appreciate all comments and any sharing of this blog post as it really helps me share the fun of Stampin' Up with others. Thanks in advance.

Happy Crafting!
