Peaceful Nativity Cards

 Hi there Craftin' Friends.

Happy Halloween! Today I have some holiday cards to share with you, but I guess I'm ready for the wrong holiday. Oh well. I hope you like the traditional nativity cards I have to share.

The first card was shared in my Thursday evening Facebook LIVE video. I  CASED this card from CindyLeeBeeDesigns.com. For the sentiment, I chose to use one from the For Unto Us Stamp Set on a Stitched Nested Labels Die popped up over some linen thread. I coloured the images with Stampin' Blends (Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Soft Seaspray, Pretty Peacock, Gray Granite, Ivory and Bronze). The trees were cut in Soft Suede, then topped with some Just Jade foilage.

The second card is a Bridge Card. Now this bundle just seems perfect for this type of fun fold. I watched a Lisa Curcio video on making a Bridge Card, then got some measurements from carolpaynestamps.com. For this card, I used the Brightly Gleaming DSP. I think many patterns from this DSP would work for this card, although I chose some Mossy Meadow paper. If you purchase the Brightly Gleaming DSP, you're definitely going to want some Copper Foil paper and some Very Vanilla Cardstock to use with it! I added a copper star from the Nativity Dies over the stable.

I added some DSP to the envelope as well for this card. Here's another shot so that you can see the bridge a little better.

The final card is an Easel Fun Fold. This card used Misty Moonlight Cardstock for the card base, and I really loved how this colour worked with the nativity scene. I stamped a few stars tone on tone to make a night sky. Again, I used a sentiment from the For Unto Us Stamp Set, then used the Tasteful Labels Dies to cut it out.

Easel cards are very easy to make. For this one, I cut a standard card base 4 1/4" by 11", scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". When folded, this makes the easel. For the card front, I used a Whisper White layer 3 7/8" by 5 1/8", and another Misty Moonlight layer 3 5/8" by 4 7./8". Here's a side view so you can see how the easel is folded. To hold the easel in place, you will want to pop up the sentiment inside with dimensionals. I glued the Misty Moonlight die cut flat, then popped up the Whisper White layer.

I hope you like these nativity cards. Now that I've played with this set, I find it's lots of fun to work with, and easy to create a scene using various combinations of the stamps/dies.

I would love to have you join me next week for my Facebook LIVE on my Facebook Page. Please note that I've had to change the time to 6:00 pm, due to the internet being overloaded with a Zoom meeting at that time. Anyone else finding their internet overloaded during this pandemic? Feel free to share this post or the video with your friends, or CASE any of the cards. I'd love to know what you liked about the cards, or see examples if you CASE. You can purchase the products to make these cards in my online store. The Peaceful Nativity Bundle is very reasonably priced and makes beautiful cards. If you're placing an order less than $200, please use Host Code WZKW4CRB before Nov. 12th, 2020. This earns you 10% customer loyalty credits on the product value to be used within three months of your purchase. Thanks for stopping by today. Hope to have you join me again.

Happy Crafting!
