Dragonfly Garden Fun Fold Cards

 Hello Craftin' Friends.

Happy Saturday! Today I have some really lovely cards to share with you using the Dragonfly Garden Bundle and the Dandy Garden DSP.

You may have seen the V Fold Pop Up Cards on Social Media lately. The first two cards are my version of this Fun Fold. If you've not seen this type of card, you can find my video tutorial here. The first card uses the DSP with the smaller dragonflies for the card front.

Inside this card, I coloured the stamped flowers to look like echinacea, and added a pop up dragonfly coloured with Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends.

The second version of this card used the DSP with the yellow dandelions on the card front. I love the little dragonflies punched with the co-ordinating punch that comes with the Dragonfly Garden Bundle.

Inside this card, I coloured the flowers to look like Black-Eyed Susans, and the dragonfly was coloured with Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.

The second card is a four fold card. Since I wanted my card measurements to be 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches, I cut the card base in pieces. The back of the card was cut to the 4 1/4 by 5 1/2" size. The second piece was cut to 4 7/8 by 8 1/4", scored along the longer side at 3 5/8, and 7 1/4". The one inch tab was adhered to the larger size along one long edge, even with the bottom edge of the card. The third piece was cut to 4 1/4 by 4", scored at 3" along the 4" edge. Again, the one inch tab was used to adhere to the second piece of the card. The entire card is then one accordian fold. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture before adding the DSP, but you can get the idea from the finished card. The DSP for each section was cut 1/4" smaller than the section of cardstock.

The front of this card was decorated with some Misty Moonlight Ribbon and 2 layered dragonflies embellished with rhinestones. I loved the extra dimension by layering the dragonflies. The sentiment was stamped on a 3/4" strip of Basic White Cardstock, then punched with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch, then matted with a 1" strip of Mossy Meadow punched to match.

The card opens much like a book. Inside the first flap, on a piece of Basic White cardstock 2 1/2 by 3 3/4",  I stamped a second sentiment and some small dragonflies, coloured with Daffodil Delight Dark and Mango Melody Light Stampin' Blends to look like Bumblebee.

Inside the second flap, on a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 3 1/4 by 4 1/2", I stamped the flowers and small dragonflies. The flowers and dragonflies were both coloured with Daffodil Delight Dark and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends, and some leaves were coloured with Old Olive Light.

The final card was inspired by a card I received from a friend and fellow demonstrator, Leigh Silver. I adapted her card, and used the patterned papers in Misty Moonlight to create this fun fold card. The flowers were again stamped on the front and coloured to look like echinacea.

I added an extra layer to the card by cutting a piece of cardstock 5 by 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". Before attaching this piece to the card base, I tucked the 4 1/4 by 5 1/2" part of this piece into the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder to give it added texture. Using the 3/4" tab, I adhered this to the inside of the back of the card base. I used the 2 3/8" stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies to die cut a circle from this piece.

The inside of the card is a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 4 by 5 1/4". To this, I adhered a scalloped circle, cut using the scalloped circle dies, so that it would show behind the punched circle. The dragonfly was coloured with Purple Posy and Basic Black Stampin' Blends. The sentiment was stamped so that it was hidden until the card was fully open.

I hope you liked these fun fold cards as much as I enjoyed making them! If you're inspired to create your own fun folds, I would love if you would send me a photo! Of course, the materials used to make these cards are available in my online store. If you're placing an order of less than $200, please use Host Code GGPYXWQQ.
