Better Late Than Never Waterfall Cards

 Hi Craftin' Friends.

This post comes with my aplogy for being late getting it posted. Life happened and my poor wee brain short circuited resulting in no blog post last week. But I really wanted to make sure that I posted these cards with the measurements in case you wanted to try a Waterfall Card. They are so fun to make and really not difficult. By changing up the size of the sections on the card, it's possible to use a lot of different stamp sets to individualize your card. The video tutorial for the Hot Dog Card can be found here. Thanks Lisa Curcio for your YouTube tutorial on this type of card which got me started creating them! All of the Waterfall Cards I made would fit in a Medium Stampin' Up envelope, so the card bases were all 4 1/4" by 11", scored at 5 1/2". The DSP layer was a standard 4" by 5 1/4", and the strip to hold the waterfall in place was cardstock, 1" by 4".  For the Hot Dog Card, I cut the waterfall mechanism 3" wide. The video demonstrates how I created the pull tab. Each rectangle image was stamped on Basic White cardstock 2 1/4" by 2 3/4", and these were matted on coloured cardstock 2 1/2" by 3". Photos showing the stamped sections are below.

The final image was stamped inside the card.
For the Moving Along Waterfall Card (Stamp Set retiring May 3rd), I used 1 3/4" squares of Basic White Cardstock, and 2" squares of coloured cardstock. See photos below.

And finally, for the Etched In Nature Waterfall Card, I used Basic White rectangles 1 3/4" by 2 3/4", and Cinnamon Cider cardstock 2" by 3". The tab for this card was created by using a scalloped oval positioned to cut on only one half of the paper to create the pull tab. See photos of this card below.

I hope you enjoyed these waterfall cards and are encouraged to try creating one. If you do, I'd love to see it. My Facebook Group, Craftin' Granny's Stamping Friends, is a place to post your creations. Why not join the group today?

Happy Crafting!
