Hi there Craftin' Friends!
I hope you are keeping well and staying safe. Things are not good here in Ontario during the third wave of the Coronavirus Pandemic, but I'm spending lots of time in the craft room, so that keeps me going. Today's cards feature the Boho Indigo Product Medley, a favourite of mine from the last Annual Catalogue. Sadly, this product will not be available after May 3rd, so if you love it as I do, you'll want to pick it up from my online store before it's gone.
The first two cards I'm sharing use a very simple fun fold called Book Binding. I have a video tutorial you can watch here. Book Binding cards are created much like a Z fold card, except the scoring occurs closer to the "binding" and that section of the card is glued down inside. I added a decorative "binding" on the outside of the cards to make them look more as if they were actually bound. For the first card shown below, I added sentiments from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set, stamped in Crumb Cake ink.
Now the third card today was super easy and quick to make. For this thank you card, I used the die cuts from the Boho Indigo Product Medley, and adhered them to a Stitched Rectangle Die Cut. This was popped up over some Very Vanilla Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. The shine, again, comes from the Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots. I added a mat in Garden Green to co-ordinate with the green from the die cuts and you have a super simple Thank You Card. Just for fun, inside the card I added a Garden Green Mat with a Very Vanilla layer on top, then a final foilage die cut (not shown).
The final card today is a little fancier fun fold. I took a standard 4 1/4" by 11" Very Vanilla Thick card base, scored at 5 1/2", then added a 2" panel to wrap around the front of the card in Misty Moonlight. I punched the end of the panel with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch, then added some of the gold ribbon from the Boho Indigo Product Medley on the end. To the bottom edge, I adhered some Very Vanilla Scalloped Ribbon. The sentiment is from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set, and is stamped on Very Vanilla, punched out with the 1 1/8" Scalloped Punch (retiring). Again, you will notice I added a gold foil die cut to give the arrangement some shine, and one tiny Gold Glimmer Enamel Dot.
The front panel opens up to reveal a gold flower and a birthday sentiment stamped on a 1/2" strip of Very Vanilla and cut with a flag. You may notice that I added a Very Vanilla Vase on the back of the vase from the front of the card to hide the adhesive holding the foilage. The three panels on the card front are: cardstock - 1 1/4 by 5 1/4, and DSP 1 1/8" by 5 1/8".
When the card is fully open, you can see that I added a 4 by 5 1/4" Misty Moonlight Mat, with the panel that wraps around the front glued underneath. I put the fold of the front panel even with the edge of the card base. Finally, I added a Very Vanilla layer 3 7/8" by 5 1/8" and glued a second gold flower in the lower right corner.
Thanks for checking out my cards today. If you liked them, I hope you will subscribe to receive my blog by email, and stop by my Facebook Page next Thursday at 6:30 pm EST for more creative inspiration. Of course, the supplies to make these cards are available in my online store, and I would love to have you shop with me!
Happy Crafting!
