Sympathy Card with Peaceful Place DSP

 Hello Craftin' Friends.

So sorry to be late with this post. I was so busy with OnStage this weekend that I forgot to post! Lately I've needed a few sympathy cards and my stash is woefully low, so this week I decided to make a sympathy card to share with you. This card uses the Peaceful Place DSP and the Prized Peony Bundle. I also added a sentiment from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set on the outside.

I love the flowers from the Prized Peony Bundle, and because they have so much detail, I didn't feel a need to colour them. The scalloped border is also lovely, and although you can't really tell in the photo, I have a black scalloped edge, then the scalloped edge of the dsp. For tips on how to do this you can watch the replay of my Facebook LIVE video.

Inside the card I stamped and die cut the smaller flower and used a Stitched Rectangle Die as a mat for my sentiment layer. By the way, if you like the background in my photos, it's the Heart and Home DSP coming soon for customers in January 2022.

Measurements:
  • Basic Black Cardstock 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4", 3" square, 1 1/2" by 2 1/8"
  • Smoky Slate Cardstock 2 3/4" square, Stitched Rectangle 3" by 4 3/8"
  • Basic White Cardstock 2 5/8" square, 1 1/8" by 2", 2 3/4" by 4 1/8", scrap for small flower
  • Diamond pattern DSP 4" by 5 1/2"

I hope you like the card I've shared today. I would be thrilled if you would subscribe to receive updates when my blog posts, either by following me through the Bloglovin' app, or by clicking on the "Subscribe" link in the upper right of my blog page. Of course, all of the products used to create this card are available for purchase in my online store. If shopping before the end of November, please use Host Code BTUZY964 for orders less than $200.

Happy Crafting!
